EDMOND —
Marvin and Tishie Freeman of Edmond, Okla. will be the guests of honor at a 50th wedding anniversary celebration at Twelve Oaks on July 30, 2011. The golden anniversary dinner will hosted by Mike Freeman, Cindy Freeman Boesen and Kim Freeman Walter.
Marvin D. Freeman and Tishie Garman were married August 4, 1961 in Carnegie, Okla. The couple met while “cruising” in downtown Carnegie.
Marvin retired as vice president of Rio Algom Mining Corporation and stays active with projects at their various properties. Tish is a master gardener and plays tennis at Kickingbird. She also stays busy working alongside Marvin and entertaining family and friends. Residents of Edmond since 1979, Marvin and Tish love being outdoors and spending time at the family farm.
Family is important to Marvin and Tish, and they enjoy spending time with their children Mike and his wife Kelli Freeman of Edmond; Cindy and husband Ben Boesen of Wichita, Kan., and Kim and husband Ben Walter of Andover, Kan. and their 10 grandchildren.
The couple recently enjoyed a family vacation at a beach house in Gulf Shores, Ala.
