EDMOND —
Rev. and Mrs. Charles W. Priddy of Edmond, Okla. will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on May 28, 2010 in the company of family and friends.
Charles William Priddy and Jerry Louise Farthing of Muskogee, Okla. met while Charles was attending Kansas City Kansas Junior College and while Jerry worked for T.W.A. They were introduced by a mutual friend, and on May 28, 1950, they were married in White City, Kan.
Charles served in the Merchant Marines and the U.S. Army during World War II.
The couple moved to Edmond in 1999 to be closer to their family. Rev. Priddy was pastor for several Baptist churches in Kansas and Colorado during most of their married life. After retiring to Edmond, he continued to teach and preach on an interim basis for churches in Kansas and Oklahoma.
The couple has six children: Tara Hardy and Shawn Priddy of Piedmont, Okla.; Lynette Koeker and Lance Priddy of Edmond; Strone Priddy of Wellston, Okla. and Blayde Priddy of Vinemont, Kan.
Charles and Jerry are blessed with 17 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. They treasure each of their 53 family members, most of whom reside in the Edmond area.
