Don and Lois Townsend of Edmond, will commemorate their 60th wedding anniverary with several celebrations hosted by family and friends.
Don Wayne Townsend and Lois Bonnie Barrick were married on Saturday, August 2, 1952, in Burneyville, Okla., in the picturesque garden of Lois’ sister, Velma Jones. The couple met while attending college in Durant.
Don and Lois have four children: Kelly Baroomand, Don Townsend, Tracy Garner and Robin Vaughn. The couple is blessed with nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, with two addition great-grandchildren due soon.
