Earl and Pearl Rodkey of Edmond, Okla., will celebrate their 68th wedding anniversary this weekend.
Earl Victor Rodkey and Pearl Dickenson were married March 16, 1946 in Kansas. They met while growing up in Ft. Supply and Buffalo areas of western Oklahoma.
Earl is a WWII Navy veteran and is retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He still loves to “throw a few lures” every day at Hafer Park and is an active member of the VFW and American Legion.
Betty is a homemaker and loves to read and embroider.
The couple’s children are Vickie and Don Anderson of Edmond and Karen and Bob Wahl of Kissimmee, Fla. The Rodkeys treasure their five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Their daughter Vickie attributes the success of her parents long marriage to the couple’s honor and commitment to each other and sharing plenty of laughter along the way.
Congratulations, Earl and Pearl!
