EDMOND —
John and Beverley Estlinbaum of Edmond, Okla. celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 30, 2010.
John G. Estlinbaum, Jr. and Beverley Ann Hughes were married Dec. 30, 1960 at the 33rd Street Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, Okla. They moved to Edmond in 1962, where their children were born.
John retired in 2000 after 40 years with KFOR, channel 4, and Beverley retired from Hertz in 2001 after 22 years.
John enjoys going to the gym and spending time in his yard and garden, nurturing his plants, some of which are more than 10 years old.
Beverley enjoys serving meals at the Senior Center several days a week. She also enjoys knitting and crocheting for family and friends, and researching family genealogy.
The couple enjoyed a trip this summer to Asheboro, N.C., and visited the grave of Col. Andrew Balfour III, Beverly’s great-great-great grandfather, who was killed during the Revolutionary War. They also spent several days in Washington D.C., and visited friends in Winchester, Va.
The couple have four children: Mandy John, Lorie and Hugh, and are blessed with six grandchildren.
