Edmond notable residents, from left: Sen. Gold's platform is "Ending Senior Hunger" and she works with Edmond Mobile Meals throughout the year. The City of Edmond has set aside $110,000 to renovate the kitchen at Edmond Mobile Meals and the rest of the money needed for new equipment will come from grants and fundraisers, said Piper Riggs, executive director. Jolley is an announced candidate for the 5th Congressional District against Republicans Patrice Douglas, R-Edmond, Rep. Shane Jett, R-Tecumseh, Rep. Mike Turner, R-Oklahoma City, and former Sen. Steve Russell, R-Oklahoma City. Democrat contenders are Tom Guild, Sen. Al McAffrey, Keith Davenport and Marilyn Rainwater. Filing for the seat is scheduled for April 9-11 at the state Capitol and the primary election will be June 24.
