Edmond’s Girl Scout Brownie Troop 343 recently conducted a peanut butter drive for the HOPE Center of Edmond. The troop of second and third grade girls from West Field Elementary and Frontier Elementary earned their Philanthropist badges by learning about helping those in need and the nonprofit organizations who provide food and clothing to people in Edmond. The troop visited the HOPE Center to make their peanut butter donation and received a tour of the warehouse where clothing and food are collected. The girls met with Executive Director Chris Sperry who told them about the HOPE Center’s mission. The Brownies were allowed to stock the food pantry shelves with their peanut butter donations.
