EDMOND — Producers of “Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition” will bring their nationwide search for season four contestants to Transformation Fitness Center in Edmond.

Transformation at 14701 N. Kelly will present this event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 20. They are expecting 200 to 350 people to come apply.

Contestants will need to be bring a non-returnable photo and will be able to fill out the contestant application while at Transformation.

“Medically we have been able to live longer lives but it’s about the quality of life, so start now by eating healthy and being active,” said Ricky Turssell, general manager at Transformation.

The ABC hit series documents transformational specialist Chris Powell, author of the New York Times bestseller “Choose to Lose,” to help educate and encourage 15 obese contestants to lose weight in 365 days.

These contestants are set-up to safely lose half of their body weight, ultimately revealing their incredible transformations. In each of the stand-alone, two-hour episodes, the participants undergo a transformation on who they are as individuals as well as the changes to their bodies.

The show is set to help guide the participants through their unmanageable weight by having Powell move into the contestants homes with their families.

For the individuals that are not chosen to be a part of the show, Transformation Fitness still wants to help. They will be setting out information to help educate potential candidates on nutrition as well as information on fitness classes and gym equipment available. They also will provide participants with information on gym memberships and personal training.

Information on how to apply can be found on the official casting website at www.extrememakeovercasting.com. For more information on Transformation Fitness Center, visit www.transformationfitness.com/.
