Oklahoma Youth Orchestra sets time for Christmas Concert

EDMOND — The Oklahoma Youth Orchestra program will present its annual Christmas Concert on Sunday at the Nancy O’Brian Center for the Performing Arts, 1809 Stubbeman, in Norman. The concert begins at 3 p.m.

Performing will be the Oklahoma Youth Philharmonic, the Chamber Orchestra, the Sinfonia, the Edmond Festival Strings, the Mid-Del Festival Strings, the North Area Festival Strings, the Norman Festival Strings and the Stillwater Festival Strings. In all, the OYO program includes 360 students in 10 ensembles.

Admission to the concert is $5; families are $10, and student admission is $2.

The concert is partially funded through a grant from the Oklahoma Arts Council and the Kirkpatrick Foundation. The Oklahoma Youth Orchestras program is a member agency of Allied Arts, and all concerts are OKCityCard events. For more information, call the office at 232-1199, or email at
