Bible historian to give guest lectures at OCU

OKLA. CITY — A Biblical history expert will give three presentations Feb. 20 at Oklahoma City University for the annual Neustadt Lectures.

Alan Levenson, a Jewish intellectual history professor at the University of Oklahoma, will deliver the lectures under a theme titled “Joseph in Scripture and Tradition: Writing Biblical Biography.” The lectures are free to the public and will be in OCU’s Bishop W. Angie Smith Chapel on N.W. 23rd Street between Blackwelder and Kentucky avenues.

The first lecture, “Joseph in Biblical Context,” will be at 1 p.m.; “Joseph and His Brothers: Thomas Mann’s Bible” will be at 3 p.m.; and “Joseph’s Women” will be at 7 p.m.
