‘Duck Dynasty’ star to visit OKC

Special to The Sun

EDMOND — Reality television star and CEO of Duck Commander Willie Robertson will discuss his experience running a multimillion dollar sporting empire at 1 p.m. Oct. 26 at the Oklahoma City Civic Center Music Hall.

The presentation, hosted by the University of Central Oklahoma College of Business, is free to Central business majors and open to the public at $25 per person.

“We are thrilled to have such a well-known business leader share his story and knowledge with our students, faculty, staff and community members,” said Mickey Hepner, dean of the College of Business.

Robertson will focus on management and growing his company, Duck Commander, from a living room operation to a multimillion dollar company.

“As one of the most known names in not just television but the business community, Robertson will emphasize the steps needed to be a successful business owner. We would like to thank Weokie Credit Union for being our presenting sponsor; events like this would not be possible without the support of our corporate community,” Hepner added.

The College of Business speaker series is designed to give Central students a transformative experience by taking them out of the classroom and coupling education with real business perspective.

Robertson is best known for his reality television series, A&E’s “Duck Dynasty.” The series follows the lives of the Robertson family and the family business, Duck Commander. The show is currently in its fourth season.
