I-40 narrows at the Ft. Smith Jct. tonight

— Motorists can expect various lane closures on westbound I-40 at I-35 (Ft. Smith Jct.) from 7-9 p.m. tonight for surface repairs, according to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.
In addition, ODOT announced these closings Thursday afternoon:
• The right two lanes of westbound I-44 at Pennsylvania Ave. and the I-44 on-ramps from Western Ave., Northwest Expressway, and Pennsylvania Ave. will be closed from 9 p.m. tonight to 5 a.m. Friday for surface repairs.
• Motorists can expect various lane closures on north and southbound I-235 at 36th St. from 9 p.m. tonight to 6 a.m. Friday for striping and removal of median barriers.
• The right and center lanes of southbound I-35 will be closed at Memorial Rd. from 7 p.m. tonight to 6 a.m. Friday and again from 7 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday for surface repairs.
• Crews will be working in the shoulders of north and southbound I-35 at S.E. 89th St. from 8 p.m. tonight to 6 a.m. Friday in preparation of the installation of traffic monitoring devices. No lanes will be closed, but drivers should be aware of crews in the area.
• The left lane of northbound I-35 will be closed between S.E. 29th St. and S.E. 15th St. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday as OG&E crews perform utility work in the area.
