EDMOND —
Based on the formal recommendation from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation’s contracted engineering firm, the City of Edmond will close the bridge on Sooner between Covell and Coffee Creek due to concerns with severe deterioration since the last inspection. The closure is expected to occur by 6 p.m. Wednesday.
The city is currently determining the scope of emergency repairs and will notify residents when information becomes available.
Residents are asked to determine the best alternate route for their travels. A time frame for the closure has yet to be determined.
