Century 21 Mark V Realty recognizes Pearcy

Farmers Insurance agent completes career agents course

Jeanna McManus of Guthrie, an agent for Farmers Insurance Group, has completed the Career Agents Course at the University of Farmers.

The University of Farmers is a training facility located in Agoura Hills, Calif. Farmers CEO Paul Hopkins said the university is national in scope, and offers training to Farmers’ 14,000 agents and its staff, 500 district managers and 10,000 claims staff year-round.

“McManus completed the five-day Career Agents Course which is clearly defined and targeted to enhance the professional skills of Farmers’ agents,” said Annette Thompson, Farmers vice president.



EEDA releases 2008 Edmond Economic Profile

The 2008 Edmond Economic Abstract, a 14-page economic profile of the city of Edmond, was released recently by the Edmond Economic development Authority.

The Economic Abstract, published annually by the EEDA and sponsored by Oklahoma Christian University, contains demographic information including population, income levels, cost of living, crime figures, traffic counts and more.

The 2008 Economic Abstract also contains information on Edmond’s residential and commercial real estate markets, retail and hotel development, taxable sales statistics and public and higher education information.

“This information is critical to the EEDA’s recruitment efforts and plays a significant role in a company’s decision to expand their business into the Edmond market,” said EEDA Executive Director Janet Yowell.

The information in the 2008 Economic Abstract is carefully researched by the EEDA from sources such as the U.S. Census Bureau, SRC LLC, the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission, C2ER, the Oklahoma Tax Commission and more.

Edmond Allstate agent awarded for volunteerism

Exclusive Allstate Agent Jon Luecke received the Agency Hands in the Community award for his commitment to helping others in his area. With this award comes a $500 grant from The Allstate Foundation for Habitat For Humanity where Luecke volunteers.

“Allstate is proud to help Habitat For Humanity with its cause,” said Denis Bailey, field vice president for Allstate’s Southwest region. “The grant from The Allstate Foundation will provide much needed assistance for its efforts. We believe in supporting programs to strengthen the communities where we live and work.”

Through the Agency Hands in the Community grant program, Allstate agents and personal financial representatives are recognized for outstanding commitment to community service with a $500 donation to the charitable organization where they volunteer. To qualify for the grant, agents and personal financial representatives must show evidence of volunteer work that has had a positive impact on the local community.

Coffey-Sears joins American Bank Systems

Coverall Cleaning Concepts expands into Oklahoma

Coverall Cleaning Concepts, a leading commercial cleaning franchising organization, recently announced that PCS LLC, a Master Franchise Group, has purchased the franchising rights for Oklahoma, and plans to open a Coverall Cleaning Concepts Support Center in Oklahoma City by mid-year.

The Oklahoma City Support Center will do business under the name Pacific Commercial Services and will function as a franchise sales office, training center and central contact point for local businesses interested in using the company’s cleaning services. New franchise owners will be furnished with comprehensive training, equipment, billing and collection services, and an initial customer base.
