Allstate Foundation collecting nearly new purses and bags
Seventy-four percent of Americans know someone affected by domestic violence, but few talk about it.
The Allstate Foundation, along with Allstate employees and agency owners, is encouraging all Americans to donate nearly new purses or professional bags, symbols of economic empowerment, to benefit domestic violence survivors and other women in need. Through a partnership with the nonprofit organization Dress for Success, three greater Oklahoma City agents, along with select others across the country, will collect purses and bags from Sept. 22 through Oct. 3.
The purses and bags will be distributed to domestic violence survivors and other women in need.
Purses may be donated locally at 3208 Teakwood Lane, Cathy Polony, 7902 North May Ave., Oklahoma City and 17923 N. Portland.
