President of Bone and Joint Hospital at St. Anthony, Tammy Powell, recently announced that Dr. Kristopher Avant has joined the hospital’s medical staff.
Avant is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand and upper extremity surgery as well as general orthopedics. Areas of interest for Avant include wrist and elbow reconstruction as well as trauma of the hand.
Avant received his medical degree from Oklahoma State University, College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, and his fellowship at Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Tampa, Fla.
Avant is in private practice at Southwest Orthopaedic and Reconstructive Specialists.
