EDMOND —
Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers announced that it had raised well more than $30,000 recently for the Kraddick Foundation, from its nationwide fundraising efforts in support of the Kidd’s Kids program. Cane’s donation pushes the total amount raised for the charity well above any amount collected in one day in its 21-year history.
The exact total, which includes donations made by Cane’s customers along with 15 percent of the net proceeds from participating restaurants nationwide, will be revealed this week at a special check presentation in Dallas.
This year, Raising Cane’s was designated as the national collection point for donations to Kidd’s Kids, the charitable initiative founded by nationally syndicated radio and television personality Kidd Kraddick.
Kidd’s Kids, a program of the Kraddick Foundation, was established in 1991 with the hope of making a difference in the lives of terminally and chronically ill children. Each year, Kidd's Kids offers five days of suspended reality to children whose lives have been ravaged by disease, with an all-expenses paid vacation to Disney World for the children and their immediate family.
