EDMOND —
The Edmond Planning Commission agreed 5-0 this week to the site plan of a new RCB Bank branch.
RCB Bank is proposed for the northwest corner of Kelly Avenue and west Edmond Road, said Bob Schiermeyer, city planner. It is part of a larger tract that is zoned for neighborhood commercial purposes.
The 6,312-square-foot bank with a fire sprinkler will be on a 63,384-square-foot tract of land, he said.
“It looks like they’ve even exceeded the landscaping requirement,” Schiermeyer said.
Right-of-way variances for this item already has been approved by the City Council, said attorney Randel Shadid, representing RCB Bank.
“This should be our final stop,” he said.
Two driveways will be shared with the remaining property, which has not been designated for development at this time, Schiermeyer said.
“The rest of the property will be developed commercial so there’s really not a sensitive border in their home,” he said.
The brick veneer building’s roof will be 33 feet high at its tallest point. A brick clock tower measuring 32 feet in height above an ATM will be placed near the corner of the intersection, Schiermeyer said. A sign is limited below the clock at 20 feet.
