Global Gaming Solutions, Emerging Brands announce partnership

Henry Hudson’s Pub and Grill to open at Remington Park

EDMOND — Officials with Global Gaming Solutions and Emerging Brands Inc. recently announced a partnership that will bring a popular, local eatery to an established entertainment venue in Oklahoma City.

Henry Hudson’s Pub and Grill will open at Remington Park in August, giving park patrons as well as other visitors to Oklahoma City’s Adventure District another much-needed dining option.

John Elliott, Global Gaming Solutions chief executive officer, said this partnership continues major priorities set forth before Global Gaming assumed operations of Remington Park earlier this year.

“It always has been our intention to draw upon other Oklahoma-based businesses to help expand the local and state economies as we transform Remington Park into a luxurious entertainment experience,” Elliott said. “This partnership with Emerging Brands, a valued and successful restaurant group, will not only enhance the portfolios of each company but also attract additional visitors to this area of Oklahoma City.”

Elliott said work already has begun to transform the area formerly known as Trackside Café into a full-service Henry Hudson’s Pub and Grill. Improvements to the area include a new façade to the restaurant’s entrance, a full-size bar and flat-screen televisions scattered throughout the pub. Additionally, construction crews are working to convert the current asphalt-laden patio and trackside area into an outdoor dining oasis. The new area will include dining tables, a serene waterfall with grass, shrubbery and other landscaping materials to give fans the opportunity to enjoy food and not miss any racing action.

Kim McLendon, Emerging Brands president, said the Remington Park location will carry on most of the traditions for which Henry Hudson’s is known, yet certain aspects of this particular establishment may be adjusted to better serve visitors at this location.

“We are thrilled to join forces with Global Gaming Solutions and ‘turn on the awning’ of Henry Hudson’s at Remington Park,” McLendon said. “We are ready to offer racing and casino fans the same high-caliber, friendly atmosphere that has helped us become an Oklahoma City staple. Yet, we also recognize the customer base for the park includes visitors of all ages. We want to provide a comfortable experience along with great food at a price that fits any budget and all ages.”

Henry Hudson’s is scheduled to open in August on the Track level at Remington Park. The restaurant will include a mix of shareable appetizers, sandwiches, salads, burgers and pizzas. Henry Hudson’s at Remington Park also will continue its tradition of offering a great Happy Hour special from 4-7 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Officials said the pub will be open during all live racing dates and special events. Live thoroughbred racing season kicks off at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 19, with racing taking place every Wednesday through Saturday through Dec. 11.
