Sweet Peace opens new Edmond location

Special to The Sun

EDMOND — Patty Wilton built her business around candy and creativity. Using treats from Snickers and sodas to the finest gourmet chocolates and candies, Wilton creates custom candy bouquets that have earned smiles from kindergarten classrooms to corporate boardrooms.

Now in its third year, Sweet Peace, which specializes in candy bouquets and Peace Frogs apparel, has opened a new Edmond location at 16317 N. Santa Fe Ave., Suite F.

Sweet Peace offers custom candy bouquets ranging from small designs with Hershey bars to elaborate creations with exotic treats from across the world.

“Our candy bouquets are a delicious idea for all occasions,” Wilton said. “We can create a customized bouquet that includes any mixture of candy, popcorn, nuts and even small gift items if desired.”

For last minute gifting, Sweet Peace stocks a wide selection of ready-made bouquets for any holiday or occasion, from Halloween and Christmas to birthdays and anniversaries.

Wilton also offers a corporate gifting service, building custom bouquets around any company’s marketing and promotional items. Wilton can even put corporate logos on the candy wrappers themselves.

“We can build a candy bouquet around just about any small item,” Wilton said. “Whether it’s a corporate or personal gift, our bouquets can be individualized to meet any need.”

All Sweet Peace bouquets are hand-crafted in the store. Wilton also offers sugar-free varieties. Sweet Peace will deliver the bouquets free within Edmond.

For those who remember penny candy, the store is a place where kids and adults can still satisfy a candy craving with only a little pocket change. In addition to custom bouquets, Wilton stocks a variety of unique and retro candies including rock candy, salt water taffy, candy lipstick, Charms, Zotz and Turkish Taffy.

“Candy is not just for kids,” she said. “It’s fun to watch an adult’s face light up when they find a favorite treat from their childhood on our shelves. Children love our store too because we offer so many different candies and sell them by the individual piece. Kids come in to buy candy with the quarters they find between the couch cushions.”

Wilton also carries a full line of Peace Frogs apparel and accessories.

Sweet Peace is in the Santa Fe Square Shopping Center on the southwest corner of 15th Street and Santa Fe, west of Crest Foods. Sweet Peace is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
