EDMOND — Frontier Country marketing meeting features brochure design, printing tips

Frontier Country Marketing Association will have its monthly “Hour With an Expert” marketing meeting at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Wyndham Garden Hotel at 2101 S. Meridian, near the Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City. This month Frontier Country’s “Hour With an Expert” will feature Rob Narron with McCormick Armstrong and Terrel Creative and Blue Wave Mobile’s Shawn Conway.

This month’s “Hour” will contain a double feature. The opening 10-minute presentation will be Blue Wave Mobile with Conway discussing the dynamics of SMS and text message marketing followed by the feature presenter, Rob Narron giving tips on printing and how to make brochures and other literature stand out from the crowd.

“There is no question that your corporate image and your marketing materials are key to your company’s success,” said Rob Narron of McCormick Armstrong. “The quality of a first impression impacts the success of the lasting impression.”

Shelter Mutual Insurance ranked fourth in customer satisfaction

Shelter Mutual Insurance Company has earned recognition from J.D. Power and Associates as a top performer in customer satisfaction with the auto insurance shopping experience.

This recognition is based on the results of J.D. Power’s 2010 National Auto Insurance Study, in which Shelter ranked No. 4 among auto insurers with highest customer satisfaction.

The study, released Aug. 3, compiles results of more than 25,000 responses from auto insurance policyholders. It measures customer satisfaction with auto insurance companies across five factors. In order of importance, they are: interaction, policy offerings, billing and payment, price and claims.



Edmond Chamber schedules annual auction

The Edmond Area Chamber of Commerce has set the date for the 2010 Annual Auction, which will be Sept. 10. The event will be at the University of Central Oklahoma Nigh University Center and is presented by Mercy Health Center. This year is a Vegas theme titled “What Happens in Edmond, Stays in Edmond.”

“The 2010 Auction will be more interactive this year as we try to make the event more fun and exciting”, said Pam Gonzaque, 2010 auction chairwoman. “We are changing the location, playing casino games, having raffles, a photo booth and a few surprise guests. We want people to be prepared for a spectacular live auction that will include items such as trips, dinners or experiences to really spice things up.”

Corporate tables are $500 for an eight-top and individual tickets are $45 per person. Individual tickets included a reserved seat and dinner. There will be a cash bar. Tickets may be purchased on the Edmond Chamber Web site, www.edmondchamber.com.

Kruse Energy and Equipment Auctioneers plan 3 rig auctions

The U.S. oil and gas industry’s largest auction firm is hosting an unprecedented series of auctions in three cities in 15 days, featuring more than 125 well service and drilling rigs, including some three dozen late-model rigs.

Kruse Energy and Equipment Auctioneers LLC is leading off with a major three-day auction in Oklahoma City featuring more than 60 well service rigs and eight drilling rigs, trucks and energy-related equipment on Sept. 21-23. This will be followed by an offering of more than 40 quality portable drilling/workover rigs and components in Denver on Sept. 29. Kruse Energy and Equipment Auctioneers will conclude this historic offering on Oct. 5-6 in Odessa with a wide selection of well service rigs, drilling components, trucks and trailers.  

Kruse Energy will be selling more than 40 rigs that are 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 models.
