EDMOND —
Two technology experts will share tips on using social networking to market businesses at this year’s networking dinner and workshop hosted by Langston University’s Small Business Development Center.
The dinner will start at 6 p.m. June 24 at the Langston University-Oklahoma City Campus.
Patrick Allmond, founder of Focus Consulting, will be one of the keynotes. Allmond will share his expertise in Internet marketing and social media. Allmond has been working with clients to use technology as a marketing tool since 1988.
Tess Mack, owner of the marketing firm Social Media Mack, also will be speaking to the group. Mack was recently named one of Oklahoma Magazine’s “40 under 40,” for her work with the Capital Chamber of Commerce as a media developer and her quick promotion to their executive director. Mack has more than 10 years of social media experience and helps clients tackle the challenges of virtual marketing.
“The utilization of social media sites is crucial for today’s businesses. This workshop will help business leaders begin or further their efforts to market online,” said Della Dean, director of the LU Small Business Development Center.
Dean said her goal for the center is to push businesses to build, grow and become successful. LUSBDC assists businesses by providing high quality personalized business and management counseling. Dean hosts three workshops a year for business owners but only offers one in the evening.
Tickets are on sale now for $25. For more information contact Dean at 530-7519 or email dmdean@lunet.edu.
