Children’s Miracle Network seeks young professional applicants

EDMOND — Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is seeking vibrant, young professionals between the ages of 24-35 to serve on the first Innovative Board. This group of emerging leaders is responsible for raising community awareness and fundraising efforts to benefit Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Interested applicants are invited to attend a meet and greet networking event at Belle Isle Brewery on July 10 from 5-7 p.m. Applicants must have at least one year of post-college work experience and will be selected by the iBoard chairman and CMN Hospitals staff.

“The children of Oklahoma would not receive exceptional pediatric care without the support of Children’s Hospital Foundation,” said Beth Schonwald-Chansolme, iBoard member. “The new CMN Hospitals Innovative Board will give us the chance to impact and improve the lives of Oklahoma’s children, thus empowering our community as a whole. I’m very excited to be a part of this and to spread the word to our friends, colleagues and other young adults throughout the city.”

Board members will have the opportunity to develop skills that they may not have the opportunity to develop at their job while utilizing other talents, build a professional network from a diverse array of backgrounds, and learn what it means to be accountable for Oklahoma’s sick children.

“With the number of young professionals on the rise in the Oklahoma City area, the Innovative Board looks to connect them with a number of volunteer opportunities that both facilitate community interaction, and raise funds for Children’s Hospital Foundation,” said Andrew Solomon, iBoard chairman.

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children by raising funds and awareness while keeping 100 percent of donations in the community where they are raised. Children’s Hospital Foundation is a proud affiliate of CMN Hospitals and is dedicated to providing funding for pediatric programs in research, education and clinical care for Oklahoma’s children.
