The Edmond Planning Commission approved 5-0 the final plat of Autumn Leaves of Edmond this week. The 50-unit memory care center will be on the west side of Bryant Avenue, south of Ninth Street.
“We’re happy to be here in Edmond under construction,” said Jon Featherston, with the LaSalle Group of Texas. “We’re looking to get open sometime around November.”
A site plan has been approved and work has started on the $8.8 million, 25,000-square-foot memory care center, said Bob Schiermeyer, city planner.
The plat of Autumn Leaves shows a series of easements with common access on the south to give access to the back of the property, Schiermeyer said.
“Otherwise it would be landlocked,” he said.
Seventy feet of right-of-way will be provided along Bryant Avenue, Schiermeyer said. The 4.7-acre plat contains one lot and one block. There is office zoning to the north and south.
“The final plat is required to be completed and filed of record at the County Courthouse prior to an occupancy permit for the Autumn Leaves Center,” Schiermeyer said.
This item will appear before the City Council on July 22, said Barry Moore, Planning Commission chairman.
