EDMOND — A local flower, gift and boutique shop has moved from its location of 12 years to a new place.

A Flower Place recently moved its business from Crest Foods where it served customers for 12 years to its new address at 1333 N. Santa Fe, Ste. #117.

Located in the Homestead Shopping Center at Danforth and Santa Fe Avenue, A Flower Place has expanded its size as well as its offerings to include not only beautiful silk arrangements and lovely, trendy, fresh floral pieces, but also jewelry, scarves, purses and accessory items including watches as well as seasonal home decorative items.

A Flower Place also carries a new line of easy wear by Jostar.

“The new line of easy care women’s casual clothing is perfect for travel and everyday wear,” said co-owner Celia Collins, “and it is made in the USA.”

Collins and her sister and co-owner, Jan Polhemus, are both Master Florists, and they take pride in the time and personal attention they have devoted to their customers and the community.

“We are really excited to tell everyone about our new location,” Collins said. “We were happy when our customers followed us from our previous location.”

She added their Grand Opening and Christmas sales were wonderful.

No matter what the occasion, A Flower Place is a one-stop shop for floral and gift needs.

“We are a full-service flower shop with professional designers to help select beautiful flowers and prepare custom designs just for you,” Collins said.

Polhemus was working on a money tree Wednesday for a 15-year-old young man who loves golf.

Coming up with ideas for boys and men sometimes takes a little more creativity, Polhemus said as she tied wiffle golf practice balls to willow branches.

A Flower Place is looking forward to the celebration of Valentine’s Day with fabulous red roses. Valentine balloons and plush bears are always a special touch and are available. Since Valentine’s Day is on Thursday this year, delivery will be provided to businesses or other locations in the metro area.

Looking for a small party or event venue? A Flower Place is now accepting reservations for the event area located in the store.

“It is a gathering place that at this time can be used for free,” Collins said. “Call or come by to reserve the date for your special event.”
