Schlegel Bicycles announces customer appreciation day

EDMOND — Schlegel Bicycles, 900 N. Broadway in Oklahoma City, recently announced Schlegelfest 2013, from noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 6 in the Schlegel Bicycles parking lot. This family-friendly festival is Schlegel Bicycles’ way of saying thank you to its loyal customers and community. As part of this special event Schlegel Bicycles will have its largest store-wide sale of the year featuring bikes, clothing, parts and accessories.

Schlegelfest will feature several local nonprofit organizations showcasing their community efforts and they will be selling $2 raffle tickets to be drawn throughout the festival for various prizes. Bicycle and accessory vendors will be on-hand to educate customers about the latest from their product lines as well as answer any questions attendees might have.

National triathlon athletes Emmy Hufnagel and Dan Tigert will offer a free Triathlon Transition Clinic at 2 p.m. and Schlegel Mechanic Marty Buchanan will present a Tube Changing 101 Clinic at 3 p.m.

There also will be a children’s area featuring an inflatable bounce house, face and pumpkin painting, a bicycle rodeo and snow cones. Peloton Wine Bar & Café also will have a special food and beer menu in conjunction with Schlegelfest.
