EDMOND —
The Edmond Planning Commission agreed 4-0 this week to the final plat for Living Well at Spring Creek.
Dr. Michele Menzel will bring together her natuapathy practice, Energetic Wellness, with a small organic health foods restaurant, said Bob Schiermeyer, city planner.
“We believe we’re in compliance with the preliminary plat,” said Engineer Earnest Isch, representing the developer Fisource Inc.
Both the commission and the City Council already approved rezoning for the property located one-quarter mile to the east of Edmond Memorial High School and 180 feet east of Pine Oak Drive. The site plan remains to be approved.
The 3.54-acre planned unit development was approved with the understanding that the driveway would be a right turn in, right turn out design, Schiermeyer said.
The restaurant is the only retail use permitted in this PUD even if the restaurant would fail, Schiermeyer said.
And the developer Jim Harlan has agreed that the restaurant will be the only commercial use permitted on the property.
“The plat will leave the creek area undisturbed with these building sites fitted into these (three) lots,” Schiermeyer said. “The developer did agree to a brick wall along the west side of the property when it was discussed with the PUD.”
