The Oklahoma State Compressed Natural Gas Certification Course will be offered in September by The Professional Development Institute at Oklahoma City Community College.
The three-day course is designed for technicians who are well versed in electrical and engine performance systems. It will be offered Sept. 4-6 and Sept. 25-27.
Students will receive training in an instructor led course with hands-on application in the areas of safety, fuel characteristics, system description and operation, fuel line bending, system diagnosis, system inspections and regulations.
At the conclusion of the course, students are offered the opportunity to take the State Certification Test administered by the Oklahoma Department of Central Services. Students must register directly with the Oklahoma Department of Central Services.
The cost of the course is $450 and instructional materials are about $50. The course will be offered on the OCCC campus at 7777 S. May Ave. in Oklahoma City.
