New ventures encouraged at small business boot camp

OKLA. CITY — Small Business Boot Camp will be presented April 19-20 to help entrepreneurs considering starting a business or looking to expand a current venture to succeed in today’s climate. Presented by Francis Tuttle Technology Center, SCORE and the REI Women’s Business Center, this two-day intensive training will cover how to survive and thrive as a business owner.

Hear from experts, ask questions and lay your groundwork for successful entrepreneurship. Sessions include business start up basics, the elements of a business plan, legal issues, financing, marketing vs. selling and much more. As a special incentive, there is no charge offered for veterans active in the last 10 years.

Small Business Boot Camp is scheduled Friday-Saturday, April 19-20, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. Friday. Sessions will be at Francis Tuttle Technology Center, 12777 N. Rockwell Ave., Room D1870, in the Corporate Training building. Registration is $99 online at, and includes lunch and materials.
