OKLA. CITY — AT&T* recently announced it is seeking applicants for almost 140 jobs that are now open throughout Oklahoma. The positions include technicians to help with U-verse installation, sales consultants and customer service representatives for the company’s call centers and openings at retail stores.

“AT&T employs more than 4,000 in Oklahoma, and it is an exciting time to start a career with a leading company in one of the most dynamic industries in America,” said Bryan Gonterman, AT&T Oklahoma state president.

“AT&T invested more than $700 million in our Oklahoma wireless and wireline networks from 2010 through 2012, and the backbone of that service are our people who work to ensure that Oklahomans enjoy a great communications experience,” Gonterman said.

U-verse Premises Technicians are responsible for the installation and customer care of U-verse integrated digital TV, high-speed Internet and voice services. Customer Service Representatives, who work in call centers, are responsible for sales and support for new and existing AT&T customers. Also, AT&T in several Oklahoma cities is hiring for positions in its retail stores, including retail sales consultants and retail store managers.

AT&T is filling these positions immediately. AT&T offers benefits that include market-competitive health and welfare packages, pension and savings plans.

Additionally, AT&T added 75 new positions at its Wireless Way location in Oklahoma City. These positions primarily support small and medium business customers as they implement AT&T business solutions and services.

And in April, AT&T announced it is stepping up its veteran recruiting efforts with the goal of hiring 5,000 veterans and family members into career opportunities during the next five years across the U.S.

Oklahoma-based veterans are encouraged to visit AT&T’s online veteran career site, which includes tools for veterans to match their military skills with AT&T jobs. AT&T has a military talent attraction manager who focuses on military recruitment and the company has the Careers for Veterans program where AT&T Veterans provide job search advice to help thousands of newly transitioning veterans optimize their career searches.
