Oklahoma City’s 2012 Career Fair, Oil & Gas Jobs Pavilion set for today

OKLA. CITY — More than 30 major area employers have stepped up their hiring and will be interviewing for entry level to professional positions at these two great career events on the same day at the same location.

As the Oklahoma City economy expands will offer a General Career Fair for all industries as well as The Oil & Gas Job Pavilion featuring high-paying positions in the energy field. The events are scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at The Sheraton Midwest City Hotel at the Reed Conference Center.

Adding to the benefits for job seekers, human resources professionals from Workforce Oklahoma have volunteered their time to provide job seekers free résumé critiques at the event as a way to give back to the community. These critiques will provide the jobseeker a recruiter’s perspective on how to market themselves more effectively.

Opportunities at the General Career Fair range from entry-level to management and are in a wide variety of industries, including sales, marketing, information technology, administration, customer service, engineering, skilled trades, manufacturing, accounting, transportation and health care. The Oil and Gas Jobs Pavilion will offer more than 24 types of positions with more than 500 jobs in the energy field.
