EDMOND —
Edmond resident/businessman Mark A. Stansberry, founder and chairman of The GTD Group, has been re-elected to serve a two-year term as chairman of the 14-member governing board of People to People International, a Kansas City, Mo.,-based not-for-profit organization.
Founded in 1956 by President Dwight D. Eisenhower, PTPI promotes international understanding and friendship through educational, cultural and humanitarian activities.
Mary Eisenhower (granddaughter of President Eisenhower) was re-elected to serve as PTPI president. Anita Manuel, North Palm Beach, Fla., was elected as vice chair. Dr. Kyung Won Lee of Korea was elected to the board.
Mark and Nancy Stansberry attended a reception in honor of the newly elected board of directors hosted by the U.S. Ambassador of Belgium at his Brussels residence.
