EDMOND — Bath Junkie opens this weekend in Edmond

Bath Junkie, which specializes in bath products designed by the customer, is making the move from Norman’s Historic Campus Corner to Edmond’s new Spring Creek Village at 15th and Bryant.

Bath Junkie offers more than 40 base products, including lotions, body washes and shampoos for custom blending. Customers decide how each of their products smell by selecting from more than 200 fragrances, including everything from dirt to vanilla.

In addition to bath products, Bath Junkie also offers a variety of products for linens and even products for dogs. Party packages are also offered for birthday parties, girl’s night out, bridal showers, baby showers, holiday gift parties, or any other special occasion.

Andrea Berryhill, owner of Bath Junkie, is making the move because she feels optimistic about the opportunities the location of Edmond’s newest shopping center will bring to her business.

Grand Opening events began Saturday and will include in-store specials and party giveaways.





OERB gives top honor to Dominion

The Oklahoma Energy Resources Board has awarded Oklahoma-City based energy company Dominion Exploration & Production Inc. with its Petro Partner Award for outstanding dedication to energy education.

“One mission of the OERB is to educate students about energy and how it relates to their everyday lives,” OERB Executive Director Mindy Stitt said.

“Dominion has been such a wonderful partner in this mission through its sponsorships of our programs and events and through its numerous employees who donate their time to conduct energy presentations in classrooms statewide.”

The OERB honors an outstanding company, individual and industry volunteer each year for their involvement in its energy education programs. These programs include energy curricula for elementary, middle and high school students, classroom presentations about energy, scholarships for petroleum-related majors, and well site safety campaigns.

Created by the Oklahoma Legislature in 1993, the OERB is funded voluntarily by oil and natural gas producers and royalty owners through a one-tenth of 1 percent assessment on the sale of oil and natural gas.

Quail Springs Mall participates in ‘An old Gloryous Celebration’

Shoppers will see red, white and blue as Quail Springs Mall joins hundreds of shopping centers across the nation to kick off “An Old Gloryous Celebration,” a national effort by the International Council of Shopping Centers Inc. (ICSC) that promotes patriotism and the American flag.

The campaign begins Memorial Day weekend with a community pledge drive to raise the flag across America on Flag Day, June 14, to show support for our troops and veterans.

The community is encouraged to visit Quail Springs Mall this Memorial weekend to “Kick-Off” the pledge drive to fly their flag on June 14. Beginning at 11:30 a.m. June 14, shoppers are invited to recite the Pledge of Allegiance in the Foley’s Court. Celebrate the U.S. Army’s birthday at noon in the Foley’s Court.

Birthday cake will be served to the first 300 shoppers.

Two Edmond CPAs join state society

Two Edmond residents recently received acceptance into the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Amanda L. Copeland, CPA, and Darla A. Neundorf, CPA, entered the OSCPA as fellow members.

Copeland is a staff member at Crawford & Associates PC, in Oklahoma City. Neundorf works at Devon Energy Corporation as a manager.

With more than 6,000 members in public practice, industry, government and education, the OSCPA is Oklahoma’s only statewide professional association of CPAs.



Plans under way for Bank2 to acquire AllNations Bank

Bank2 of Oklahoma City has officially signed an agreement to acquire AllNations Bank of Calumet, according to an announcement made by the Chickasaw Banc Holding Company, Bank2, AllNations Bancorporation Inc. and AllNations Bank.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. However, representatives for both organizations indicated they anticipate the transaction will close following regulatory approval later this summer.

“We are excited about the opportunities this acquisition provides for Bank2 as well as for the customers of AllNations Bank,” said Ross Hill, president and CEO of Bank2.

OERB gives top honor to Edmond resident

The Oklahoma Energy Resources Board has awarded Edmond resident Ronnie Irani with the Randy Foutch Award for outstanding dedication to energy education.

“One mission of the OERB is to educate students about how energy relates to their everyday lives and encourage them to pursue careers in the energy industry,” OERB Executive Director Mindy Stitt said. “Ronnie has been such a wonderful partner in this mission through his leadership in establishing the OERB Petroleum Scholar Program, a $300,000 program benefiting college students statewide.”

Irani is a past OERB board member and current chairman of the OERB Scholarship Task Force. He is also president and CEO of RKI Exploration & Production.

“I feel extremely honored that the OERB selected me to be the recipient of the prestigious Randy Foutch Award,” Irani said.

“Having served on the OERB board and being active on the scholastic outreach committee has given me the opportunity to see what an amazing job the Oklahoma Energy Resources Board has done over the past 10 years.”
