Edmond resident named top achiever with home decor business

Gail Bohlen, Edmond resident and designer with Home & Garden Party, has just been recognized among the company’s Top 25 Achievers for Sales. Bohlen was recognized for phenomenal achievements in sales for the month of August.

“It’s amazing what hard work and determination will do,” Bohlen said. “I am so appreciative to the Home & Garden Party team for choosing me as a Top Seller this month. I’m glad to know that my achievements are being recognized.”



Edmond resident receives President’s Club award

Saia Inc. is pleased to announce that Edmond resident Glenn Foster has been named a recipient of Saia’s President’s Club award for the second quarter of 2008. This prestigious awards program was established to recognize Saia’s top employees.

“Each employee who has been named a President’s Club winner deserves commendation for putting in the extra effort required of this unique awards program. Locals join retailers at Advisory Council Meeting

Tom and Lori Burgin, owners of Oasis Pools & Spas The Backyard Place, recently participated in the first national Backyard Place Advisory Council in Covington, La.

The Burgins joined eight other Backyard Place dealers on the national panel, which reviewed progress made by the 2-year-old retail program and evaluated strategies for 2009.

Oasis Pools & Spas The Backyard Place offers a variety of products including chemicals, toys and games, safety equipment, grills, outdoor decorations and more. The business, which started in 2004, joined the Backyard Place program this year. The Backyard Place program provides the independent dealer with a variety of tools to create a one-stop shop.

Frontier Country Marketing sets November meeting

The Frontier Country Marketing Association will have its monthly “Hour with an Expert” marketing meeting at 10 a.m. Nov. 20 at the Oklahoma Opry theater in the Capitol Hill Main Street district to discuss consumer trade show marketing. The marketing meeting is free to all Frontier Country members and $10 for non-members. To register, call 232-6552.



Blue Sun Biodiesel now in Oklahoma

Blue Sun Biodiesel announced its premium biodiesel will be available in the state and the company is actively seeking authorized distributors and retail pump outlets for their premium Fusion B20 and B99 biodiesel products.

Blue Sun fuels exceed ASTM standards for biodiesel and offer reduced emissions of carbon monoxide, smog-forming nitrous oxides and cancer and asthma causing hydrocarbons and particulates as reported in a study by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.

Blue Sun’s biodiesel can be used in any diesel engine without modification, and it qualifies as an alternative fuel by EPA standards.
