EDMOND — The Edmond Area Chamber of Commerce had its annual Sporting Clays Tournament on Nov. 6 at Silverleaf Shotgun Sports in Guthrie. Jim Miller of the Arvest Bank team had the high score of the day, hitting 43/50 clay pigeons.

The lowest score team of the Edmond Chamber’s Sporting Clays Tournament was awarded bowling balls to use as they take up a new sport. The Vital Signs team, top, was made up of, from left, Christina Mason, Shannon Booher, Russell Mason and Justin Booher.

Sporting Clays Tournament teams competed at 10 sporting clay stations throughout the course. The stations offered challenges and levels of difficulty for the shooter. Seventy-three shooters representing 18 teams competed in this year’s event. Most of the teams had four members, which had the opportunity to take their best shot at 50 clay disks that were catapulted into the sky or across the ground.
