McBride Clinic, one of the nation’s leading providers of orthopedic and arthritis care, has appointed James Berry as chief operating officer. In this position, Berry will direct and manage the day-to-day operations at McBride Clinic.

“McBride Clinic and McBride Orthopedic Hospital are focused on comprehensive, individualized treatment and quality care for our patients,” said Mark Galliart, CEO of McBride Orthopedic Hospital and McBride Clinic. “In this position, James will work collectively with all departments and staff to ensure we are providing our patients with the highest quality of orthopedic care available.”

Berry views this as an opportunity to help one of the nation’s premiere orthopedic practices further its mission of providing the highest quality care available. “McBride Clinic has a well-respected and talented group of physicians in both orthopedics and rheumatology,” Berry said. “I am truly blessed to work at one of the nation’s leading orthopedic clinics.”

Hupfeld to receive Maureen Reagan Award

A Masque in Black & White is the 10th annual gala fundraiser for the Central Oklahoma Alzheimer’s Association and will take place on April 16. The historic Skirvin Hilton Hotel will provide the setting for an event that will feature big band music, dancing, fine cuisine and fabulous auction items.

One of the highlighted efforts of the Masque is an extraordinary raffle package that consists of numerous Apple products such as an iMac, iPod, iPhone and more with a market value of more than $4,000. Tickets for the package are $20 each and can be purchased in advance at www.alz.org/alzokar or on the night of the Masque. The winner need not be present.

Stanley Hupfeld of Integris Health Foundation will receive the Maureen Reagan Award, which is given to individuals who display compassionate support for those impacted by Alzheimer’s disease. This is the first time the Oklahoma City office has issued this award.

“Stanley’s leadership in supporting our mission has been crucial in our ongoing efforts to fight Alzheimer’s while providing care for those affected,” said Mark Fried, CEO designate of the Alzheimer’s Association. “Unfortunately, Stanley’s family has witnessed the devastating effects of this disease and his intentional actions to further our cause has played a key role in the expansion of our outreach.”

The Masque generates a significant portion of the organization’s annual budget.

Sponsorships are needed and individual tickets are available for $150. The Masque will kick off at 7 p.m. and valet will be provided by Mercedes-Benz of Oklahoma City. For more information, call Shelley Speer at 319-0780 or shelley.speer@alz.org.
