EDMOND —
PostRock Energy Corp. recently announced the addition of Kyle Essmiller as director of human resources.
Essmiller, an Edmond resident, will work with the management team to oversee recruitment and staffing, implement policies and provide direction for employee services and administration.
Prior to joining PostRock, Essmiller served as the employee relations manager and corporate recruiter at Chaparral Energy, where he implemented performance improvement plan procedures to enhance employee performance objectives, designed and executed corporate-wide staff selection and retention strategies, and developed company initiatives in the community.
Essmiller earned a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in leadership and organization development from Oklahoma Christian University and a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and finance from Kansas State University.
An avid volunteer, Essmiller serves the community on a number of boards including the Girls Scouts of Western Oklahoma, the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and is a day chair for the Festival of the Arts committee.
PostRock Energy Corp. is engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development, production and transportation of oil and natural gas, primarily in the Cherokee Basin of Kansas, Oklahoma and the Appalachian Basin in West Virginia. The company owns and operates more than 3,000 wells and nearly 2,200 miles of gas gathering lines in the basin
