Bob Moore Auto Group fights hunger with food banks

OKLA. CITY — Bob Moore Auto Group has kicked off its sixth Annual “Drive Out Hunger” canned food drive and sculpture event at all 15 of its dealerships throughout Oklahoma and Texas. The public can drop off canned food at any Bob Moore dealership location, and they can vote online for their favorite sculpture at www.bobmoore.com through Nov. 21.

Each year the Bob Moore Auto Group employees create canned food sculptures and compete among dealerships to win the distinction of most creative sculpture with the highest volume of food collected. All donations benefit the regional food banks and help feedhungry families, seniors and children during the holiday season.

“This year we decided to ask the community for their votes online,” said Karen Copp, vice president of Human Resources. “Our employees do a stellar job of donating food and creating the sculptures in our dealerships, but we thought the online voting and dialogue would help the food banks collect more donations and generate awareness for driving out hunger.”

Bob Moore Auto Group employees started working on the event last month and had to complete their sculptures by Nov. 7. The winner is chosen from the top three online votes and then the sculpture is evaluated on volume per capita (total number of employees divided by the total volume of food collected). The top three winners will be announced on www.bobmoore.com.
