EDMOND —
The Edmond Area Chamber of Commerce is taking nominations for the 2012 Coppermark Bank Woman of the Year. The Woman of the Year award will be given out in 2013 at the Chamber’s Annual Awards Banquet. Nominations are due by Friday. This is the fifth year for the Chamber's Woman of the Year award. Peggy Geib of Francis Tuttle Technology Center won in 2010, Mo Anderson of Keller Williams won the award in 2011 and Karla McAlister of McAlister & McAlister law firm won the award in January of this year.
The objective of the award is to honor business women who: have made achievements in the professional field; exhibit leadership in their profession; act as a mentor/role model to other women; dedicate significant time and effort to philanthropic activities; and exhibit leadership in the Edmond/Oklahoma City community.
The woman must be a member of the Edmond Area Chamber of Commerce to be eligible for the award. Nominations are due Friday.
