Oklahoma City Thunder star and Olympian James Harden will be at the new Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers location in Edmond from 6-7 p.m. Thursday.
Harden will serve up chicken fingers for dine-in and drive-thru customers during a portion of his time at the new Cane’s location in Edmond. The NBA guard, fresh off USA Basketball’s gold medal performance at the London Olympics, also will spend some time signing Harden photos and posing for pictures with Cane’s customers.
The Edmond location at 1225 East Second St. is Cane’s first restaurant in the area, the fourth in Oklahoma, and the 136th overall across 17 states.
“We’re really looking forward to having James at our new restaurant,” said General Manager Jared Dunn. “We’re all huge Thunder fans, of course, and we think our customers will get a kick out of seeing him at the drive-thru window and serving up Cane’s chicken fingers from behind the counter.”
In conjunction with James’ appearance, Cane’s has launched a “Respect the Beard” contest on Facebook, running today through Sept. 27. Several creative winners will be chosen to receive various prizes, including free Cane’s meals and merchandise, and other fun items.
