Oklahoma City Community College will offer the Oklahoma State Compressed Natural Gas Certification course designed for automotive technicians experienced in electrical and engine performance systems. This evening class will run Oct. 21-26 from 6-9:30 p.m. in the Transportation Technology Center at OCCC.
Students will receive training in an instructor-based course with hands-on application in the areas of safety, fuel characteristics, system descriptions and operation, fuel line bending, system diagnosis, system inspection and regulations.
At the conclusion of the course, students will be offered the opportunity to take the State Certification Test. Students must register directly with the DCAM: Alternative Fuels Program to be considered for State Certification.
Costs include: $450 for CNG certification course; $50 for Instructional Materials (NFPA 52); $50 for state certification.
