Valir Rehabilitation Hospital recently welcomed Lee Frazier as hospital chief executive officer. Frazier, a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, brings extensive experience as a hospital executive spanning 30 years. In his role, Frazier is responsible for daily management and operations of the rehabilitation hospital. He began his new role Nov. 12.
“We are pleased to welcome Mr. Frazier,” said Valir Chief Operating Officer Stacy Smith. “He is a respected health care professional with an impressive background of accomplishments. I am confident he will bring forward thinking ideas and operational strategies to enhance our commitment to quality and excellence.”
A graduate of Loyola University (Bachelor’s of Business Administration) and Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine (Master’s of Public Health and Masters of Hospital Administration), Frazier has served communities many capacities including health care, public service and education.
Frazier previously served as CEO of St. Vincent Rehabilitation Hospital, Little Rock, Ark., for six years. Prior to that, he held positions in Chicago, Miami, New Orleans and New York. In addition to his executive capacity, he has been an educator at multiple major institutions such as Cornell University, Louisiana State University School of Medicine and Tulane University School of Tropical Medicine and Public Health.
