EDMOND —
Joe and Carla Byars of Fort Smith, Ark., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Katherine Camille Byars, to Richard Joseph Silman, son of Joe and Laura Silman of Edmond, Okla.
The bride-elect is a 2007 graduate of Northside High School in Fort Smith and graduated in 2012 from the University of Arkansas in Fort Smith with a degree in Dental Hygiene. She is currently employed as a registered dental hygienist.
The groom-to-be is a 2004 graduate of Edmond North High School, and earned a degree in Energy Management and Finance from the University of Oklahoma. He is employed as a petroleum landman for a small, independent oil and gas corporation.
The wedding is planned for 6:30 p.m. June 15, 2013 at First United Methodist Church in Fort Smith.
