OKLA. CITY —
Six Russian delegates participating in the Open World Program will spend Feb. 28-March 8, in Oklahoma City examining the Oklahoma Accountable Governance system. Managed by the Open World Leadership Center, Open World is the only exchange program in the U.S. legislative branch.
The visiting Russian delegates will be at the State Capitol for State Government Day and will meet with State Reps. Charles Ortega and Jason Murphey, R-Guthrie. They also will visit the House and Senate chambers.
The delegates will spend some time at the Oklahoma City National Bombing Memorial. The Open World Leadership Center has awarded a grant to Friendship Force International to administer this and similar programs in 2014. For more information, call Kay Bickham at 341-3169 or Joyce Rulon at 733-1191.
