The Yard of the Week award goes to John and Janet Colgan, 2213 Berryhill Court in the Faircloud Addition.
The unusual tiger eye sumac provides an interesting focal point to this very attractive yard designed and maintained by Janet. The magnificent beds contain colorful lorpetulams, angelonias, walkers catnip, cherry sunrise lantanas, red shift coreopsis, yellow angle trumpets, pink salvia, assorted periwinkles and red crape myrtles.
Their beds also contain nandinas, yaupon hollies, assorted day lilies, mugo pines, purple sweet potato vines, pink purslane, crimson pygmy barberry, dwarf variegated boxwoods, Nellie R. Stevens hollies, burford hollies, pacysandra, dwarf fountain grass, purple bea balm, medora dwarf blue junipers, blue Pacific junipers and a weeping blue atlas cedar that add shape, color and texture to this charming yard.
