Crossroads Foundation provides grief relief
There are 42 kinds of loss one can feel and the natural reaction to loss is grief.
“Grief is one of the least addressed concerns in our society,” said Jo Clipson, Grief Coordinator/Crossroads Hospice. “It is the normal and natural reaction to loss.”
Clipson is the moderator for The Grief Recovery Method Outreach Program, based on The Grief Recovery Handbook.

Historic lamp back in Senate chamber
It’s been almost 100 years since the 9-foot tall bronze lamp shone its light at the state Capitol, but now it is back in its original home — the Senate Chamber. Eleven others just like it once helped light the chamber, although no one is exactly sure when they were removed or where they were taken. But now the lamp is back in the Senate, where it was first placed when the building was completed in 1917.
Senate adds 2 landscapes to Capitol art collection
The Oklahoma State Senate dedicated artwork Tuesday depicting two of Oklahoma’s most beautiful landscapes, the Wichita Mountains and the Arkansas River. The Clayton Taylor family sponsored Three Forks on the Arkansas River by Oklahoma artist Wayne Cooper. The other landscape, Wichita Mountains, was painted by famous artist Oscar Brousse Jacobson and is a gift of R.L. and Carlene Rollins.
