Wright needs to expand his repertoire

EDMOND — To the Editor:

The Rev. Jeremiah Wright is like the man in the Bible who Jesus knew as Legion. Legion was a man with many demons. The reverend is a professional stand-up actor with many faces and he is a comic, a serious actor, a vocalist and manipulator who can hold the audience spellbound with a believable silver tongue if you are gullible. Maybe Barack Obama was hoodwinked and naive.

If Wright wants to show he is well-read and can quote a multitude of books, authors and the Bible, then he should enlarge his subject matter. Slavery didn’t start with the birth or growth of America. Of the six ruling governments he refers to, all participated in the injustice of slavery. Even Africa enslaved others. Slaves built the pyramids, Rome, the Sphinx and slaves rowed ships, and were forced to fight inthe arena for amusement.

The Rev. Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Louis Farakhan, the Democrat liberals, teachers’ unions and others would be put out of business if there aren’t fear, hate, prejudice, envy and ignorance.
