To the Editor:
I am a teacher in the Edmond Public School District. For the past 10 years, I have witnessed first-hand the extraordinary work of Kathleen Duncan, president of the Edmond Board of Education.
Duncan is a true servant of our community. She has shown commitment to her office throughout her tenure, and constantly strives to improve our children’s educational experience. Duncan’s work has helped provide healthier snack alternatives at school vending machines. She has also drafted policies designed to minimize classroom distractions and interruptions, empowering students to attend to tasks while at school.
Duncan works diligently with teachers throughout the district and pays close attention to our concerns and needs. She is attentive and sincerely understanding with every individual who makes up our district’s team of educators, support staff and administrators. Duncan takes the time to be informed about issues concerning our district and demonstrates her fairness and honesty in every decision that she makes.
Please cast your vote on Feb. 14 for Kathleen Duncan.
