Maybe not so arrogant afterall

EDMOND — To the Editor:

Our president calls us “arrogant” and I suppose that’s true. I’ve been thinking about all the arrogant young people who are resting under crosses and stars in the military cemeteries in Europe and the U.S. who were arrogant enough to help save the Europeans from themselves. And also about the rest of the arrogant Americans who paid large sums of dollars to rebuild the communities that now enjoy life thanks to American arrogants!

Mr. President, I’m proud of every one of them. We all should be.
