EDMOND — To the Editor:
On behalf of the employees of Edmond Medical Center, I would like to say thank you for your thoughtful coverage of the passing of our CEO Tayo Fichtl. While the shock of his sudden death is just now beginning to fade, we all will certainly miss this caring, compassionate man with the meticulous work ethic that he brought to EMC and the community at large; and we vow to continue his legacy of patient-centered care at the hospital.
Tayo was not one to seek the spotlight, but rather worked beside his employees to ensure his high standards were understood and met. Through his leadership, our facility is not only on a path for continued success, but has also been left in the capable hands of the leadership team he built. Thanks to Tayo, the future is bright for EMC, and we look forward to sharing new programs and services with the Edmond community very soon.
